Valentine's Day Date Ideas

date night valentine valentine's day

Happy Monday, y'all!

My husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day over the weekend since it's on a weekday. I was actually surprised to see how many other couples were also out celebrating. We decided to spend the day in Atlanta for brunch and dinner and "bar hopped" in between...something we don't get to do ever after having a baby. Thank goodness for my parents who will drop anything to watch Avery! I'm almost convinced having a day date and drinks is so much more fun than the traditional candlelit dinner! I've compiled a list of date ideas that I think would be fun for VDay and I've linked my outfit choice!

1.) Brunch on a patio at a restaurant you've never been to. Or if it's cold where you're at, brunch at a restaurant not on a patio you've never been to. Order a bottomless pitcher of mimosas, snack on a few appetizers and have conversation with your man! (something I don't get to do often because I'm accustomed to babbling in "goo goo-ga ga" hours on end).

2.) Enjoy a couple's massage or facial. Book a private room just you two and order a bottle of wine. Massages relieve stress, headaches, and insomnia so you can't beat that!

3.) Go on a hike. My husband and I love randomly driving to the hot hiking spots here in Georgia, like Amicalola Falls, and spending the day in the mountains. Beautiful scenery and good exercise definitely puts us in a good mood. Spice it up for VDay by setting up a little picnic near the campgrounds with a little champagne and roses and watch the sunset.

4.) Visit a brewery. Go on a brewery tour and enjoy the live music they have. Get to know about the beer you're drinking and sample all the different styles. If you're in Atlanta, I suggest the Sweetwater Brewery.

5.) Take a cooking class. I absolutely love cooking for my husband, but it's not always reciprocated on his end lol. Take a cooking class together and you both can "learn" to cook (more for him) and enjoy the meal afterwards.

For our day date I chose a dusty pink shift pocket dress from Lizard Thicket and paired it with brown suede Jessica Simpson knee high boots. My dress color is sold out, but I've linked the same style in red here.
